ABOUT: Informed Citizens is an unincorporated 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to informing all of the current status of Liberty and Justice in Texas. Donations are tax deductable. Citizens United 4 Accountable Government was officially established on January 19, 2018 by filing the required document and submitting the required fee to the IRS. LOBBY MISSION The abolition of the defense for government known as sovereign immunity, as presently defined and applied ("interpreted") in our courts. We will lobby for a correct statutory definition of 'sovereign immunity' (follow link to history of it) Or exemptions to it as presently practiced. Criminal Justice Reform begins here.
Liberty exist when government, and those through whom it acts, are subservient to the Law. Simply put, the legal doctrine of sovereign immunity as presently applied asserts that on our Land of Texas government is above the Law! This doctrine even goes so far as to allow the government [AKA “The State of Texas”], in conjunction with our Courts, to knowingly and wantonly violate the supreme Law of the Land, our Constitution, and deprive us of the inherent and inalienable Rights our Texas Constitution intended to secure. This doctrine has replaced the Rule of Law with the Rule of those who have obtained positions of employment at public expense. It allows them to violate the public trust of their position with impunity. The doctrine of Sovereign Immunity, as presently defined and applied is the antithesis of Liberty. We are referring not just to the Judicial Division, but to how it is understood (in other words; "interpreted") by those elected or employed to serve us in other Divisions of government, as well. It has been utilized to deprive the people of Texas of Liberty, deprive Texans of the Rule of Law, and deprive us of Justice. The Rule of Law, properly understood, says that Law rules, not those who act in the name of government. The Rule of Law is the vehicle for Liberty. Liberty is the right of the private individual to have Law protect them from government agents acting under the pretense, or color, of law under the cover of their position of public trust. |
EDUCATION MISSION it is an axiom in political science, that unless a people are educated and enlightened,
it is idle to expect the continuance of civil liberty, or the capacity for self government.
We are dedicated to promoting among the public, including public officials and those who assist them, a better understanding of Liberty, the Rule of Law, and Justice as these terms were understood at the time they were used by the founders of Law on our Land. The founders referred to are those who wrote our organic law known as the Declaration of Independence for the United States of America and the Declaration of Independence for Texas as an independent nation. We intend to enlighten all on how the doctrine of Sovereign Immunity, as presently understood and applied by all three divisions of government, acts to negate Liberty and Justice for the people of Texas.
