"A BIZARRE WAY TO JUDGE OUR JUDGES"
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/casey/6274626.html
Dear Houston Chronicle Commentator, Rick Casey; rick.casey@chron.com
Thank you for your comments in the Sunday, Feb. 20th, newspaper edition.
PROPERLY, our Texas Legislature has the DUTY to Judge our Judges.
The Attorney General, by Texas Constitution and Statute, is the Attorney for a State Judge. His Office "represents" a Judge charged with malfeasance.
Our Legislature "represents" the people of Texas in any such trial.
This is known as a Republican Form of Government as a means to maintain Democracy.
It is the DUTY of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, chaired by Senator Jeff Wentworth, and the DUTY of the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence, chaired by Representative Todd Hunter, and the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence, chaired by Representative Pete Gallego, to appoint a Prosecutor and conduct the Trial. The committee members are the Jury. The Commission on Judicial Conduct has the duty to investigate complaints and report to our Representatives.
Our Legislature erred in putting the Commission on Judicial Conduct under the control of the Judiciary; The same body it was created to POLICE! Self-regulation does not work. (a recent, and most dramatic, example being Bank & Investment Institutions)
They abdicated their duty to represent YOU, and I, the Citizen of Texas.
INFORMED CITIZENS of Texas is attempting to have this addressed during the current legislative session. www.informed.org ed@informed.org
