Re: TEXAS DECLARATION OF RIGHTS
On the 60th Anniversary of the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Dear member of our Texas Legislature,
On this, the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, I am sharing with you the Declaration of Rights that preceded it by 112 years. As a TEXAN, you and I can be proud to know that the founders of Texas established in our Land the Rights the rest of the world did not come to recognize for another 112 years.
What saddens me is the changes that have been made to what was given to us by our Law Givers on March 17, 1836. Decreed as “forever to remain inviolate”, by those who pledged their lives to give us the Law during the Texas War of Independence, changes have been made. As you will see from the attached; the Declaration of Rights that stood as the First Constitution for our Land of Texas is not the same as what is found today in Article I of our Texas Constitution titled the Texas Bill of Rights.
The Law of March 2, 1836, known as the Texas Declaration of Independence, and the Law titled the Declaration of Rights, March 17, 1836, remains as our organic common law of the land known as Texas. You will find there is no contradiction or conflict between our organic Law for our Land of Texas, and the organic Law of the larger land of our Nation today, our US of A, our United States Constitution, or the Universal Declaration of December 19, 1948.
Our present Texas Constitution, as written and published, must be understood (interpreted) by reading, and understanding, the organic law of our Land given to the people of Texas by “the true and living God” as a “blessing of liberty”. Unfortunately, some who serve as Judicial Officials in the Judicial Department of our government for our land, THE STATE OF TEXAS, are incompetent or are opposed to Liberty and Justice for Texans. Please read the attachments and perform your own comparison.
I will be in contact with you throughout the upcoming regular legislative session to address the opposition to our law by some Judicial Officials of our State and by those who are living off our tax dollars while employed in the Agency of government for our State known as the Office of the Attorney General.
Sincerely, Ed ____ Executive Director
